The state policy of Belarus is aimed at preserving the family. The priority is for the child to live with both parents. However, the institution of marriage is facing a certain crisis worldwide. Over the past year, more than 20.000 decisions have been made in Belarus to dissolve marriages between spouses who have common minor children. In most cases, the child remains with the mother.
