Thousands of kilometres of the way through the places of military glory and memory. In Moscow, on the 85th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, a motor rally was launched as part of the Hero Cities — Cities of Heroes project. This time, it is dedicated to the "Roads of the People's Militia". Therefore, the solemn start of the event took place at the monument to the 21st Division of the People's Militia of Moscow. Volunteer units were created in the summer of 1941 to assist the Red Army. They consisted of civilians, including workers, students, scientists, artists, as well as women and elderly people. In 1943-1944, seven divisions of the Moscow People's Militia participated in the liberation of Belarus from the German fascist invaders. Four of them were awarded the honorary titles — Brest, Bobruisk, Gorodok, and Liozno-Vitebsk. The rally consists of three routes, one of which will pass through Belarus.
