The first regional children information center for environmental education opens in Belarus

The first information center for handling organic pollutants and hazardous substances in Belarus was opened in Kopys. Environmental education will be provided at local kindergarten and secondary school. The work of the center, which is equipped with modern technology and a laboratory, is aimed at children fr om Vitebsk, Mogilev and Minsk regions. Schoolchildren receive ecological education in a robotics study group. They model and program robots that can sort waste. The children also got acquainted with the principles of organic farming. As an experiment, in spring, they established an experimental farm wh ere they grow a crop without chemicals.
