The European Commission does not intend to impose new sanctions against Belarus

This was stated by the press secretary of the European Commission, Anna-Kaisa Itkonen. She stressed that Brussels is concerned about the situation of drivers stuck on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border. In turn, the representative of the European Commission, Paula Pinho, did not answer the question about the possibility of imposing sanctions against Minsk. Earlier, Lithuania called on the EU to include Belarus in a new package of anti-Russian sanctions, justifying this by Minsk's "hybrid aggression" and the situation on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border.
