The best doctors of the year named

On the eve of the Medical Worker's Day, the Palace of the Republic announced the names of the best doctors of the year. Candidates for the title of laureates of the competition were presented by healthcare institutions throughout the country. The choice was not easy. As a result, 20 laureates and 5 holders of the honorary title "Physician of the Year" were determined in the following nominations: therapist, obstetrician-gynecologist, pediatrician, general practitioner. Aleksey Chasnoit was recognized as the best surgeon. His most famous patient, for whose life they fought for months, is the young Hero of Belarus Roman Kogodovsky. On the occasion of the Day of the Medic and the 103rd anniversary of the healthcare system of Belarus, doctors were presented with thanks from the Council of the Republic and letters of appreciation from the Council of Ministers for their special merits.
