The programme of the Belarusian‑Uzbek interparliamentary forum was discussed at a meeting of the organizing committee, which was held in the Council of the Republic. From 29 to 30 September, the Uzbek city of Khiva will become a platform for business dialogue. On the first day, four thematic sections of the Belarusian‑Uzbek women’s business forum are planned. The participants will discuss issues related to industrial cooperation, cooperation in the agro‑industrial complex and tourism sectors, as well as humanitarian and social issues. The second day will be filled with the agenda of the third meeting of the interparliamentary commission for cooperation between the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, meetings of heads of local self‑government bodies, and a joint meeting of the youth councils of the two countries. The central event will be the plenary session “Development of interparliamentary dialogue to strengthen strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Belarus: new tasks and prospects.” An exhibition of products from organizations in Belarus and Uzbekistan will also be held.
