The Belarusian rushnik (towel) was chosen as a symbol of the "Kupala" holiday

The Belarusian rushnik (towel) has become one of the symbols of the national holiday "Kupala" in Alexandria. A traditional exhibition-fair will be devoted to the subject of folk culture. Guests will be able to see the process of making towels and take part in master classes. The holiday "Kupala" will traditionally take place in the agro-town Alexandria, Shklov district. The festival program was announced yesterday during a press conference in Minsk. Excursion routes, a fashion show, a dance show, a karaoke concert dedicated to the Year of National Unity are planned. Two scenes will work at once. The most ambitious concert is scheduled for the evening of July 10 – Songs of my Land. At its end, the sky over Alexandria will be painted with festive fireworks.
