State Security Committee anniversary

Employees of the Belarusian state security agencies celebrate their professional day. Exactly 100 years ago, an extraordinary commission was set up to combat counter-revolution and sabotage, and a year later the military counterintelligence was founded. By the decision of the Belarusian government December 20 became the official Day of the employee of the state security bodies. Their top officials, personnel and veterans were congratulated by the President. Alexander Lukashenko noted that under the conditions of information and economic wars, ever-present danger of terrorist attacks the significance of the State Security Committee increases.
