On June, 22, high-scale memorable events dedicated to the 80-th anniversary since the beginning of the Great Patriotic war were held in Belarus. Special chimes were executed at temples and monasteries of the Belarusian Orthodox church at noon. 12 one-bell chimes, a funeral toll and a short treble bob sounded as a recall of the terrible examination, which fell upon our people's lot. After divine services, offices of the dead were held at churches. Prayers were recited for the worriers who perished while protecting our land from the fascist invaders, as well as for all victims of the awful war.
