Smart traffic lights in streets of regional center Brest

Smart traffic lights appeared in the streets of the regional center Brest. Transducers implanted in asphalt pick the information on the number of cars and send it to a control center which distributes the transport flows and regulates the signal lights. The approach not only makes a trip more comfortable, but also reduces the gas emissions in the congestions. By the end of the year, the system will be applied in seven busy crossroads of Brest. In the long run, it will encompass the whole city.
