Slutsk is the cultural capital of Belarus in 2023

The patented geotag of the Slutsk belts and the cradle of St. Sophia of Slutsk will become the cultural capital of Belarus. The status will be officially transferred to Slutsk by 2023. The district center competed with Mozyr, Baranovichi, Svisloch, Shchuchin and Belynichi. But biography in nine centuries prevailed. At its peak, Slutsk had its own printing house, the palace estates of the Radziwills, the first pharmacy in Belarus, a professional ballet and a large-scale manufactory. Today, the production of Slutsk belts has been revived thanks to the program of the President of Belarus.
