Shareholders' rights protection improved by Presidential

Shareholders' rights protection has been improved in Belarus. The relevant Presidential Decree came into force last month. Shareholders’ funds now go to a special bank account, and are directed to the construction of a specific object, not redistributed among other projects of the construction company. A similar practice will be introduced in Russia. The neighboring country is planning to pass from shared construction to mortgage. Belarus is also considering such a perspective.
