Sergey Khatskevich from Novopolotsk presented with "Partisan of Belarus" breastplate

In the year of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, Sergey Khatskevich from Novopolotsk was presented with a breastplate "Partisan of Belarus". In May 1944 he participated in the legendary breakthrough when the partisans got fifteen thousand civilians out of encirclement. The Museum of People’s Glory of Ushachy named after Vladimir Lobanok preserves the memory of the heroic events. The work to perpetuate the names of the fallen defenders continues in the regions.
