Activities dated to the International Day of the liberation from Nazi concentration camps were held in Belarus. Today is the International Day of liberation from Nazi camps. During the war, about 20 million people got there, only every fifth child survived.According to official statistics, about 4 million prisoners of fascism live in theBrestregion today. The authorities, students and former prisoners have gathered inBresttoday at the plaque, where during the war about 2 thousand people were shot. Participants of the rally-requiem laid wreaths and flowers to the monument and observed a minute of silence and prayer for fascism victims.InVitebsk, flowers and wreaths were laid at the memorial at the former death camp Fifth Regiment. It functioned from the beginning of the occupation of the city and up to its liberation in June 1944. The first Soviet prisoners of war and later civilians were held there.
