It was approved by the UN General Assembly 15 years ago. And in 1996 Belarus became a full member of the International Organization for Migration. The main activities of the organization include combating illegal immigration, combating human trafficking, improving border management, regional and international cooperation.Belarus is implementing a number of bilateral projects of the European Union, which are aimed at strengthening the Belarusian-Ukrainian border through modern models of equipment and staff training practices in the field of border security.
