Sakura blossomed in Grodno

A traditional Japanese tree delights citizens and guests with delicate pink petals. There are only 15 trees. They can be found on the banks of the Grodnichanka River in the Zhiliber Park. Here, on May 5 last year, a sakura alley was laid out in honor of the Year of Peace and Creation. The tree does not bloom for long, only 7-10 days depending on the weather. Grodno is not the only city where you can admire the exotic tree. Sakura grows in the Central Botanical Garden, Peoples' Friendship Park and other places in Minsk.
