Road police controls readiness of drivers to winter

Starting from December, 1, the cars in Belarus must have winter tires. The State road police is going to control it. A civil liability is envisaged for absence of winter tyres. Yet, as the Road police noted, the man thing for them is not punishment but accident prophylactics. The weather urges to it, too. On Wednesday, snow and minus 9 degrees is expected in Belarus. Patchy fog and ice conditions possible, as well as icy roads.
