In the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus solemnly handed over a banner to the Minister of Emergency Situations. The official symbol of the unit is the Battle Banner, which embodies the valor and glory of its servicemen. The banner, in fact, has also been a military banner for centuries. And today, when the historical interaction of rescuers with the Belarusian Orthodox Church has been restored, the tradition of presenting banners to military units has also been revived.
