Renovation continues at Monument of Friendship on border of three Slavic nations

The Three Sisters Monument of Friendship on the border of three Slavic countries (Belarus, Russia and Ukraine) continues to be renovated. This time, landscape designers got down to business. They drafted a general plan. It has three components to reflect the number of the three Slavic countries. Silvery willows take the center stage in each one. They symbolize the founders of the festival tradition. Activists of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union volunteered to implement the idea. In addition to repair work, about 40 plants have been planted here. The Three Sisters monument was erected almost 45 years ago in honor of the common victory of the fraternal peoples in the Great Patriotic War and became the site for the annual international festival.
