As part of a large-scale search expedition in the Vitebsk Oblast, the remains of 16 Soviet soldiers were found. The names of the two were identified by combat awards. The expedition participants are about fifty people from Belarus and Russia. These are not only search clubs, but also young people: Cadets from Vitebsk and Polotsk, as well as cadets of the Moscow College of Police. The interim results of the search confirm that many unknown soldiers are buried in the Vitebsk Oblast. The field work is scheduled to resume three months later.
