Religious festival in honor of icon of Budslau Mother of God began today

A traditional religious festival in honor of the icon of the Budslau Mother of God began in the town of Budslau. This year, the longstanding forum is held under the sign of the Year of Family, declared by the Belarusian Catholic church. Thousands of pilgrims arrived to take part in the festivities. They walked to the ancient Belarusian town from different parts of the country. The festival will last for two days. It will culminate in the evening procession with candles and a copy of the miraculous icon of the Mother of God of Budslau.
