Raid-checks on the use of boats are held in Vitebsk region

No less than twenty checks per week. Experts of the small boat inspection jointly with those of the Emergencies ministry, Ministry of internal affairs and the Prosecutor's office carry out sorties in the water reservoirs. The aim is to prevent human deaths when people use boats for rest and fishing, while forgetting the security regulations. Among the most frequent breaches are missing life-belts, certificates on the boat's technical equipment, the state of alcoholic intoxication.
