Production of blood plasma from donors vaccinated against coronavirus starts in Belarus

The Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Transfusiology and Biotechnology has begun procurement of blood plasma from donors vaccinated against coronavirus. Within four weeks after vaccination, virus neutralizing antibodies are produced in the human body, which the infected person needs to fight the disease. According to doctors, the effectiveness of this method is 90%. Mass production of plasma of vaccinated people will begin closer to summer. In the meantime, the collection of a blood component from patients with COVID-19 continues. More than 5 tons of such plasma have already been produced.
