The President considered personnel matters yesterday, appointing a number of new ministers, deputy ministers and deputy chairmen of the State Control Committee. Changes have been introduced in the diplomatic corps and the local power vertical. Igor Karpenko, who previously served as Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, has been appointed Education Minister. Valery Malashko, who previously worked in the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee, has been appointed Minister of Labour and Social Protection. The President has also appointed Deputy Ministers of Information and Justice.
