The Belarusian President has met with the Synod of the Belarusian Orthodox Church today. According to Alexander Lukashenko, it is important that the church should continue promoting interfaith harmony in Belarus, demonstrating an example of civilised relations. In this regard, the President looks forward to a deeper involvement of the church in social processes. Besides, Alexander Lukashenko believes that other denominations should follow the example of the Belarusian Orthodox Church and train clergy from Belarusian citizens.
