President signs decrees on social protection of workers

The President signed decrees aimed at improving the social protection of workers. The documents were adopted in order to minimize the impact on the Belarusian economy of the global epidemiological situation and ensure social stability. The measures relate to those enterprises that from May until the end of July will not work at all or work part-time. Decisions to compensate for wage losses are made locally. In addition, it is envisaged to maintain the salary of employees of budgetary organizations at a level not lower than the minimum wage and the allocation of additional payments in case of involuntary underemployment or announcement of downtime.
