President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko presented Doctor of Science diplomas and Professor certificates to scientific and teaching staff. Almost 2 dozen people were among the awardees. According to the President, the Year of Science should become a landmark and a real turning point. Worthy offers and breakthrough developments always get support. However, the institutional structure of science in Belarus must be updated. The head of state announced a major meeting on the development of the scientific sphere, where the challenges and objectives will be outlined at the highest level.
