The President held a working meeting on the development and improvement of the educational sphere. The issues of completion of the 2017 university admissions process, preparation for the new academic year and possible changes in education were reported by Vasily Zharko, the head of the state commission for the control of the entrance tests, and Igor Karpenko, the Minister of Education. The conversation was about updating curricula and manuals, which should be done by 2018. The President drew attention to the need to provide assistance in preparation for the school year to children from large families and those who are brought up without parents. The task is that all schoolchildren, regardless of the life situation, have everything they need. Before the beginning of the academic year, it is planned to hold a large national pedagogical council.
