President A.Lukashenko attends Easter service

The Orthodox world met the Bright Day of Christ's Resurrection. Believers will continue celebrating Easter for another 40 days. The day before, along with parishioners, the head of state took part in the Easter service. By tradition, every year Alexander Lukashenko visits churches in different parts of the country. This time, the President arrived at the Holy Annunciation Church in the village of Malyia Lyady. Life in a pandemic ruined the plans of believers, not everyone was able to go to the church. Nevertheless, Belarus didn’t close the doors to visitors, Alexander Lukashenko noted. The head of state joined the believers, who came to pray for the health of loved ones, and lit a festive candle.
