Period of stay in Belarus without registration to increase from 5 to 10 days

Today amendments to the law on the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons were discussed in the House of Representatives. Among other things the draft law provides for an increase in the period of stay for foreigners in Belarus without registration from 5 to 10 days. The adoption of the document is caused by the general tendency to simplify the procedure for the entry and stay of foreigners in the country. Last year, over 100,000 foreigners entered Belarus visa-free. During the 2nd European Games about 30,000 foreign tourists are expected. The amendments discussed by the MPs are aimed at developing tourist and investment attractiveness of Belarus, further simplifying business and private contacts.
