Pensions will increase from February

From February, pensions in the country will increase by on average 10%. The corresponding decree was signed by the President. As explained in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the average age pension will amount to Br930 in February. A total of about Br2.2 bln will be allocated for payments. Of these, almost 200 mln is additional costs due to the increase in pensions. Since 1 January 2025, there have been serious changes for pensioners in Belarus. In fact, it has become even more favourable to continue working after retirement, as salary restrictions have been removed for this category of citizens.
