Over 70 thousand people have visited the Grodno and Grodno region visa-free since January. This is 60 percent more than in the first 7 months of the last year. The geographical diversity is growing, with guests having arrived from 30 countries. Most of them come from Lithuania, Poland, Latvia and Germany. In addition to excursions, they are attracted by recreational opportunities, as well as entertainment events. Visa-free entry is available not only to those traveling by car, but also by train or air. The number of tourists crossing the border along the Avgustovksi Canal has increased. Last year, 11 percent of travelers used kayaks and boats, now it's about 40%. This checkpoint is seasonal and will operate until October 1.
