Orthodox around the
world continue to celebrate Easter. The believers celebrate the Bright Week, a
period of special jubilation and joy. By tradition, on such bright days,
together with all Belarusians the temple is visited by the Head of State. In
the Minsk diocese, the President met with Metropolitan Filaret, the honorary
Patriarchal Exarch of all Belarus. Alexander Lukashenko congratulated him on
the bright holiday of Easter and Happy Birthday, which Metropolitan Filaret
celebrated recently. The head of state, together with his youngest son Nikolai
and Metropolitan Filaret, placed candles in the house church. After that, by
tradition, they exchanged gifts.
