Orthodox believers celebrate Holy Week

Catholics continue celebrating the Resurrection of Christ. The Octave Easter, a week of special worship, begins today. Easter celebrations will last until May 30th and will end with the Ascension Day of the Lord. For the Christian Orthodox, the upcoming week is a holy one. Believers will spend it in a very strict fasting and prayers. Christian Orthodox believers will celebrate Easter on April 28.
