You can now study Antarctica without leaving Minsk. The scientific laboratory of the capital's Open Ocean Center is ready to study rare underwater plants and microorganisms. Classes will be held by the oldest polar explorer in the CIS, hydrobiologist Yuri Giginyak. He personally brought materials for study fr om a recent polar expedition. A number of various excursions will be prepared by real submariners. Students from the most remote parts of the country come to get acquainted with the Open Ocean Center of the Belarusian capital. The center's administration also plans to expand the museum's territory and participate in a children's technology park, wh ere several expositions are being prepared for visitors.
