Today the 71st session of the UN General Assembly will  adopt a resolution on the long-term consequences of theChernobyldisaster, initiated byBelarus. The paper is co-authored by some 30 countries,  members of  the International Conference dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of theChernobylaccident, which took place inMinskin April.<br>In practical terms, the focus of the resolution is the continuation of international cooperation under the auspices of the UN to overcome the consequences of Chernobyl disaster on the basis of partnership, innovation and investment in sustainable development of the affected regions.
