The oldest publicistic edition of Belarus is celebrating its jubilee. The “Zvyazda” (The Star) newspaper is 100 years old. The paper did not break its work even during WW – II. At present, its daily issue is 20 thousand copies. President of Belarus A.Lukashenko congratulated the “Zvyazda” staff on the centenary jubilee. The first issue came out in 1917. Over its long history, famous state and public figures of Belarus, national poets and writers worked for the newspaper. Today “Zvyazda” is a unique multifaceted edition which successfully combines traditions and modern information technologies.
