According to the National Statistics Committee, in 2015 Belarus was visited by about 300,000 tourists, the majority of organised tourists coming from Russia, as well as from China, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, France and Estonia. The average length of stay of foreign tourists in Belarus in 2015 was 5 days.As pointed out by the National Statistics Committee, domestic tourism continues developing in Belarus. Thus, in 2015 the number of organised tourists within the country amounted to more than 91,000 people and the number of excursionists approximated 745,000 people. The number of tourists who used rural tourism services last year amounted to nearly 294,000, 88% of them being Belarusian citizens.
