New minimum subsistence level in Belarus as of August

New minimum subsistence level enforced in Belarus as of August 1. It grew by 7 and a half percent and makes an average of 197 rubles 57 kopecks per capita. The minimum consumer budget has also increased, which will update the scope of citizens eligible for concessional loans and subsidies for housing construction. Minimum labor and social pensions are also pegged to its size so they will grow accordingly. Premiums for pensioners over 75 years of age, care allowances for for disabled persons and the elderly have increased as well.

Child care allowances for children under 3 have grown, too. These are corrected twice a year, on February 1 and August 1.
