New electronic IDs to be issued in Belarus

New electronic IDs will be issued to Belarusians starting with the next year. This electronic key will provide access to government online services, which are now actively developing. To go abroad, one will need to get a biometric passport, with a chip containing personal information about the owner placed inside one of the pages. Over time, the IDs will replace driver's licenses. Older versions of passports can be used until the term of its validity expires.
