The presidential decree comes into effect this week, which allows tourists to stay 5 nights in the park Augustow Canal and the surrounding regions without visas. This procedure is intended for foreign nationals crossing the Belarusian-Polish and the Belarusian-Lithuanian border at the checkpoints Lesnaia, Bruzgi and Privalka. The visa-free regime will facilitate tourism, improve the employment situation of local residents and attract investment. Earlier, a three-day visa-free regime was launched in the Bialowieza Forest.
