After renovation, a secrets-filled museum will open in the Brest Fortress. Tourists will get a chance to wander through the underground labyrinths and see the everyday life of soldiers from the times of the Russian Empire and World War II. In these underground corridors the soldiers hid during the shelling, stored provisions and ammunition. The fortification was part of the citadel. The fort is surrounded by water, and this caused difficulties during the renovation. To get into the fort, the builders had to make rafts. The fort was rebuilt both on the inside and outside. The focus is on highly realistic experience.
