Mobile app for safe railway crossing tested in Brest

A mobile app that switches off music on one's phone when approaching railway tracks is being tested in the Brest region. As the phone finds itself within 70 meters of railway tracks any media content that is played on the phone is blocked. Music stops within 50 meters of the tracks. After that a warning signal sounds to encourage the user to check for any approaching trains. So far the app is available only for the Android operating system.
