Minsk tops the list of The Best European Cities To Visit in 2019 compiled by the British newspaper The Independent. The newspaper notes that the 2019 European Games is heading to the Belarusian capital from 21-30 June, which makes it one more reason to visit Minsk. Among other reasons the newspaper cites the 30-day visa-free regime and the atmosphere of the Old Town lined with coffee shops and cocktail bars. The western tourists, the newspaper notes, may be surprised by how clean, safe and friendly Minsk feels.
