Minsk to mark City Day soon

The Belarusian capital has been preparing to large scale celebrations marking its 951^st anniversary. Festive events will be held throughout the city. On 9 September, a memorial sign to Belarus born cosmonauts Petr Klimuk, Vladimir Kovalyonok and Oleg Novitsky will be opened in Kosmonavtov Street. The authors are sculptor Ivan Misko and architect Valery Mitrofanov. The installation of the six-meter sign has already begun. The granite monument will be depicting portraits of the famous space explorers.
