Minsk State Linguistic University to launch Belarus' first Department of Chinese Language and Culture

In the new academic year, the Department of Chinese Language and Culture will be launched at Minsk Linguistic University. In January, 2 departments will admit about 300 students. Teachers, however, have already been trained for some years. Moreover, both Belarusian specialists and native speakers will be employed by the new faculty. Currently the Chinese language is taught at three different departments, and now they will be brought together. The new department will train teachers, translators and specialists in cross-cultural communication in international economic relations, PR and international tourism.
