Minsk anniversary celebrations to start on 7 September

Minsk is going to celebrate its 951st anniversary. The festivities will begin on 7 September with traditional awarding the winners of «The Best By Profession» contest. The main celebrations will unfold on September 8 featuring laying flowers in front of the monument «Minsk - Hero City» and «Minskers The Year» award ceremony. The program will also include a military historical festival, a power extreme international tournament, kayak competitions and, of course, fireworks at the Sports Palace. On 9 September, a new memorable sign «To Belarusians – Space Explorers» will be opened in the capital city. The Minsk semi-marathon is scheduled for the same day.
