Lukashenko meets with Syrian minister of presidential affairs

Today Belarus President met with Syrian Minister of Presidential Affairs. The head of state warmly welcomed the Syrian guest. Mansour Azzam gave Alexander Lukashenko a letter from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and spoke about the current situation in Syria and those huge losses of the Syrian people. Syrian Minister of Presidential Affairs is in Belarus on a working visit from 1 to 5 April. He has already met with a number of top officials and views the talks as positive. According to the minister, the meeting with the Belarusian head of state gives the green light for further cooperation and the governments of the two countries can take concrete steps in this direction.
