Liberalization of visa regulations discussed at President’s session

Belarus is in talks with several countries over visa-free regime. The government session at the Palace of Independence has discussed ways of facilitating visa regulations for foreigners. Last year 80 000 tourists took advantage of the visa regime liberalization, in particular, of visa-free stay for up to 5 days via Minsk National Airport. Now the government suggests the extension of the period of visa-free stay in Belarus. Negotiations with Russia on the mutual recognition of visas are in progress. Head of state focused on security issues while facilitating visa regulations. Making decisions it is important to take into account the global trends and interests of the Union State partners.
