The Congress of the International Association of World War II Museums has launched in Moscow, the Belarusian Great Patriotic War Museum being one of the initiators of the general programme on preserving historical memory. The Congress opened with the exhibition Anti-Japanese Front, featuring weapons, awards, photos, propaganda posters and documentary chronicles. The Belarusian Great Patriotic War Museum has provided the exhibition with the personal belongings and photographs of Belarusian soldiers.The International Association of World War II Museums comprises of 35 institutions from 11 countries.
